My name is Emilio Garcia, fourth generation coffee farmer. I grew up in the farms helping my father and learned all the steps in the process, from picking coffee to selling in the local market. By the age of 18, I took control of the operations of the farms. After hurricane Mitch in 1998, I had the opportunity to travel to the U.S. to help recover the farms. 14 years later, in 2013, I was able to import the first coffee shipment from our farms and able to roast it myself in our roastery Lenca Coffee Roasters, in Franklin County, PA. This farm has been replanted many times in the las 100 years. The farm is about 155 acres, right now just 10 acres is coffee farm, the rest is designated to wildlife. Protecting the native and migratory birds.
